Mittens for Detroit, founded by Detroit 187 actress Erin Cummings, is a charity whose sole purpose is to collect, purchase, and distribute new mittens and gloves to children and adults in the city of Detroit. erin

Season 6 collection runs from October 1st through January 31st. Our goal: 53,000 pairs of new, unused mittens and gloves. With growing and enthusiastic public and corporate support, over 103,000 pairs have been collected and purchased in our first four years. Our agencies' needs are great in our cold Detroit winters.
