Covenant House of Michigan
Covenant House Michigan is a faith-based nonprofit organization that provides hope to homeless, runaway and at-risk youth ages 13-22. Their goal is to redirect them onto a path toward meaningful and successful adulthood.
Crossroads of Michigan
The purpose of Crossroads’ ministry is to care for any person in need by providing counseling, advocacy and material assistance when possible and appropriate, and responding to other human needs in the community as they are enabled to do so.
Michigan Veteran’s Foundation
The Michigan Veterans Foundation is a non-profit agency. Their main project is the Detroit Veterans Center. The DVC provides the skills and confidence needed for homeless veterans to break the cycle of homelessness and return to independent living.
Ruth Ellis Center
Provides short-term and long-term residential safe space and support services for runaway, homeless and at-risk gay, lesbian, bi-attractional, transgender and questioning youth in Detroit and Southeastern Michigan.
St. Christine Christian Services
St. Patrick’s
St. Patrick Senior Center has been improving the quality of life for seniors in Detroit for over 30 years. They are dedicated to enabling seniors to live rich and independent lives by providing a wide range of services, activities, and classes, as well as the support of a caring community.
Latino Family Services
Their mission is to provide and coordinate comprehensive Human services to residents of Wayne County with particular emphasis on its Latino residents.
Gleaner’s Food Bank – Backpack program
Gleaners partners with local schools to distribute backpacks filled with nutritious food for the weekend to children who rely on free and reduced fee school meals during the week.
YWCA Interim House
This program provides shelter for women and children survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault.
COTS
Coalition on Temporary Shelter exists to alleviate homelessness by providing an array of services that enable people to achieve self sufficiency and obtain quality affordable housing. COTS also exists to advocate for long-term solutions to the problem of homelessness.
